Week 8: CCR Creation Planning and Finishing Edits to Third Filming Portion

Hey guys! New week, new agenda! I have a lot to do this week as we are very close to being done with this project! Today I will be talking about the last edits made to the third filming portion to finish that up, and the beginning of our CCR creation. Here is a quick little agenda of what our week looks like to keep you guys updated and organized:

Blog 1: Planning and starting CCR Creation, Finishing Third Filming Portion Edits

Blog 2: Adding credits and title to video, Continuing to work on CCR Creation

Blog 3: Finish CCR Creation

First up, let's talk about the editing process that we finished today. So, the last edits to this final filming portion where mostly to add the sounds. I added the sounds that I had mentioned in the last blog (both from Royalty Free Music). However, like I had mentioned before, in one of the clips where Claire is entering the car, we filmed it with the music. We decided to keep it this way instead of adding the same music sound because the clip seems more natural. For example, if we were to add the sound, you wouldn't really hear how the music kind of mutes as the door closes. Even though the sound quality might be slightly better, it was not worth losing that natural appeal. Next, we filmed a quick clip that we had forgotten to film previously where Claire looks back as she is walking out the front door and sees her parents laying on the bed (absent from her life). The reason this clip took longer to film than expected was because it included my parents as the primary actors and they are on a different schedule that I need to find time to film. However, we got it out of the way, and edited it in the correct placement in the video. Additionally, like we did for the editing process in the first filming portion, we added a filter that helps to portray the clip with less lighting, and a duller setting. This helps to portray how the parents are very absent in Claire's life, adding meaning to the purpose of our film opening and film in general.

Well, that was it for the editing, now what remains to finish up our video is to add the credits and title and then we are DONEE!!! Now that we're done with that, let's move on to the CCR Planning.

Before we get into creating the CCR, I want to provide a short agenda on how we are going to tackle this CCR Creation. This will help you guys stay informed on my process and will also help me keep myself organized.

Tuesday: Begin CCR Creation-Answer Questions on Google Doc
Wednesday: Transform Answers to Questions into Script
Thursday: Plan out Video (Storyboard kind of thing)
Friday: Film Video
Saturday: Edit
Sunday: Edit and finish

This is how my week looks like as per the CCR Creation scheduling. Like you can see, today I answered the four questions on a google doc. Here is a glimpse of my work from today:

Well, that's it folks! Next time we will be talking about the credits and titles that we added to our video (pretty much finishes our video up), as well as the continued work for the CCR Creation! Until next timeeee!!

Your fav,
Natalia Ballinas
